Sunset with a solar eclipse on the coast of San Antonio, Ibiza

The date for the 2026 Ibiza eclipse has been set: on 12 August, the island’s skies will be the setting for a phenomenon not seen since 1905 – a total solar eclipse. It will also be the first total eclipse visible from the Iberian Peninsula in over a century, and the next one won’t occur in Spain again until 2053. If you’re in Ibiza on that day, you’ll have the chance to experience a truly once-in-a-lifetime moment.

The best gay atmosphere in Ibiza

The island of Ibiza has been a magnetic meeting point since ancient times; the islander way of feeling and its bohemian and liberal atmosphere make it a paradisiacal LGTBI+ destination where everything done with love is celebrated in style. The Purple Hotel is a benchmark in Sant Antoni for Ibiza's gay atmosphere.

Excursion to Formentera

Visiting Formentera is absolutely mandatory and unforgivable if you don't save a day of your vacation for it. A wonderful opportunity to get to know what many consider to be the last paradise of the Mediterranean, which also has an added incentive: it can only be reached by boat since the island does not have an airport. Making this journey by boat is already an experience in itself, as you will discover the other side of Ibiza, the natural and relaxed side, while sailing its coasts.

An advantage of choosing one of our Ibiza Feeling Hotels? Boat departures to Formentera are right in front of the reception of The Red Hotel, The Blue Apartments, and The White apartments, and just 5 minutes away from The Purple Hotel. Therefore, preparing your excursion to Formentera couldn't be more convenient or easier for you.

Visit to Ibiza Town: World Heritage

Ibiza has served as a home to various civilizations throughout history: Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, and Christians. The passage of these civilizations has left us a legacy in the form of a walled city: Dalt Vila. As charming as it is mysterious, composed of cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses, and fantastic viewpoints, it becomes the heart of the island and one of the most iconic images of Ibiza. Its castle and its Renaissance walls were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on December 4, 1999, for being the best-preserved fortress in the Mediterranean, also including the neighborhoods of Sa Penya, Es Soto, La Marina, and the Puig des Molins Necropolis located in its surroundings.
